G5 are great clubs to hit, but the workmanship is not what I expect from Ping. I,ve played Ping clubs for over 40 years. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. This family of Ping products was considered a complement to the Ping G5 family that was also on the market at the same time.

Updated on 02/15/19 The Rapture series of golf clubs from Ping debuted in the marketplace in late 2006 and included Rapture drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons. I previously had the Cobra SS and SZ offset woods and I wanted to move onto nonoffset models. The 455 steel is springy and the ball jumps off the face. By increasing the moment of inertia, off center shots are straighter and distance loss is decreased. Enhanced perimeter weighting maked the G5 iron very forgiving. DESCRIPTION Designed in multiple sections for maximum performance, the radius of the lead edge helps improve ground impact for better ball impact. The face height is, to my eye, perfect: tall enough to hit off a tee. What’s changed from the G is that the G400 went away from the symmetrical look with a touch of pear-shape, and it appears a little smaller than average. The G400 fairway wood has all the trappings of recent PING woods: matte black crown, Turbulators, no alignment aids. The G25s are awesome when it comes to hitting greens. 
I have played with Ping G5/15 irons and loved them. Rarely are we able to say that a new iron has considerably more forgiveness and feel than a previous model, but that’s exactly what the G25 irons deliver. Check out the spec sheets below for more information.
